About Tally

Tally helps friends, housemates, and travel groups work out who paid for what and who owes whom, without the mental spreadsheet or the group chat archaeology. It's free to use.

Expenses and balances

You record expenses: who paid, how much, and how the cost should be split. Tally uses that to show each person's balance - who is owed money and who needs to chip in.

Groups

Debts live inside a group (a trip, a flat, an event) so balances stay scoped to that crew. You can still see the big picture when you need to.

Payments

When someone pays someone else back - by bank transfer, cash, or otherwise - you can log that payment in Tally. That works inside a group or as a direct payment between people, so your records match real life.
